Day Trip to Cambridge, Sat 29 Oct

A pilgrimage to Cambridge for university students from all over the country. Coach places with the London group cost only £15. Full details below. A fantastic opportunity to visit Cambridge from London and to get to know other students from Newman House and from all over southern England. Coach places are limited so please book soon.
Coach leaves from Newman House (111 Gower Street, London WC1E 6AR) at 8.45am sharp and will return to Newman House by about 7pm. Programme:
8.45am – leave from Newman House
11am – meet at Fisher House Catholic Chaplaincy in Cambridge
11.30am – Mass at Fisher House
12.15pm – Talk by Prof Eamon Duffy on the Catholic history of Cambridge (Prof Duffy is a much esteemed Catholic historian)
1.00pm – packed lunch in Fisher House
1.45pm – guided tour of Cambridge by a Cambridge student
3.00pm – free time, and opportunity to visit King’s or John’s College (£6 or £5) or the Fitzwilliam Museum (free entrance) or time for shopping…
4.30pm – tea and coffee at Fisher House
5.15pm – departure
7pm – drop off at Newman House
